Review of Linux Compatibility

The Orico 2588US3 is an external hard drive enclosure for SATA disks. It features an USB 3.0 connection which is connected via the Swiss MediaTek’s NS1066-USB3.0 to SATA bridge controller with USB ID 2537:1066

This chipset is automatically recognized and fully supported by the Linux kernel. A connected drive (e.g. a 1GB drive as shown below) is fully supported:
